Activities

Any time of year is a great time to visit Willow Beach Bed & Breakfast, because there’s always something to see and do in Kelowna and the surrounding Okanagan valley.

In the summer, swim and stroll along the beaches, and then stop to pick the fresh local fruit. Go hiking, biking, or boating and then spend your evening at one of many fine outdoor restaurants.

For golfers, Kelowna offers one of the longest seasons in Canada, with many championship golf courses to choose from including Okanagan Golf Club, Kelowna Springs, Shannon Lake and Shadow Ridge.

In the winter, there’s skiing and snowboarding at world class Big White, Silver Star, Crystal Mountain or Apex ski resorts.

Year-round, you can take in countless celebrations and festivals. Kelowna is at the heart of BC’s Okanagan wine region and boasts amazing Wine Festivals featuring internationally recognized wines.

The Okanagan boasts a selection of shopping experiences to tantalize every taste, from unique local fare to the larger chain retailers and several shopping malls.

And don’t forget the nightlife. Besides restaurants, the area boasts many pubs, theatres, and outdoor concert venues. The Kelowna Actors Studio is the area’s only licenced dinner theatre. Or try your luck at the local casinos

Over a dozen wineries are located in Kelowna with over 60 in the whole Okangan Valley region. Some nearby include Mission Hill, Sumac Ridge, Mount Boucherie, Summerhill, Oak Bay – St. Hurbertis, Quails Gate and Grey Monk.

All wineries offer wine tasting, and most have cafes for dining. As well, several wineries have facility tours to teach visitors the art of winemaking. Wine tours can last from 20 minutes to an hour, depending on the winery.
